Irish Songstress Amanda St John releases title track ‘Muscle Shoals’

Northern Irish songstress Amanda St John has released title track ‘Muscle Shoals’, recorded in the famed US studio of the same name, ahead of the full album release “The Muscle Shoals Sessions’. Along with this, Amanda also has some upcoming shows in respect of her album launch, and you can find out dates near you below.

Talking about the experience, Amanda reports ‘It is was a dream come true being given the opportunity to record them in the legendary FAME Studios along with ‘swampers’ bass player David Hood (Aretha Franklin, Etta James, Percy Sledge, Paul Simon, Alicia Keys etc) and piano/keys/Hammond player Clayton Ivey (Aretha Franklin, James Brown, Joss Stone, The Supremes etc).’

The story of this song is about how people get release in music and how a song can transport you back in time and make you feel younger for a moment.’she continues ‘This is what all those classic songs with the ‘Muscle Shoals’ sound do for me, every time!‘.

Amanda has been described as a “Head-turning vocalist with serous song writing prowess………a sensational artist” (Visit Dublin) and this single embodies just that and is well worth the listen.
