Christopher Holland Announces New Album And Single
Christopher Holland announces ‘Golden Hour’, his first new studio album in 6 years, out on 1st November, with lead single ‘Beautiful, Fantastic Planet’ out 27th Sept.
UK Keyboard player, singer/songwriter Christopher Holland announces ‘Golden Hour’, his first new solo studio album in six years, due out on 1st November via Cosmic Harmony Records and Nova Distribution.
The follow-up to 2013s ‘Corner Green’, ‘Golden Hour’ is an infectious and reflective journey through life.
From ‘On Blackheath’, co-written with Chris Difford about the area they both grew up in, to the more universal Stevie Wonder inspired ‘Beautiful Fantastic Planet’, featuring the soulful vocals of Katy Shotter, Christopher Holland takes us on a walk through his elements with some of the most captivating music he has ever recorded.
Chris reports he’s enjoyed the process of making this album very much and wanted to try and capture some of the sounds of the classic crafted songs from the mid 70s to the early 80s that he grew up listening too but with a definite ear to the future.
Utilising an array of classic vintage keyboards and synths, it also features the uplifting and evocative vocals of Siobhan Parr and Sumudu Jayatilaka as well as rhythm section of Ash Soan / Jim Kimberly (drums) and Dave Swift (bass).
‘Golden Hour’ was self produced and lovingly tendered by Christopher Holland and mixed in London by technical wizard Ron Box, who Chris has worked with since his debut release in 1999.
With a passion for songwriting running through his veins at an early age Chris’ sparking melodies and songs expose a sensitive artist that has the power to provoke a profound response.
After a lot of blood, sweat and tears and several years in the making in between touring/ recording with his older brothers Rhythm and Blues Orchestra, Golden Hour has finally come to light and will be released in November with support dates at –
