Krissy Matthews Records Song ‘Lockdown’ In These Times
Here’s a bit of highly topical fun, noted blues-rocker Krissy Matthews has just recorded a song for these troubled times, called ‘Lockdown’ which has already been featured on BBC News (as well as being tweeted by Matt Lucas).
As Krissy himself explains…”I wrote this song in the shower, the morning after Boris Johnson made the announcement of the Lockdown in the UK, and the guidelines that came with it. This is recorded with a drum box, myself playing bass/guitar and putting a quick vocal down. And the lyric video that comes with it was also a quick production made with my mobile phone in the back garden. So I am aware that it is not the most sophisticated performance or recording, but the whole point of the song is the message. And this message is to stay home. So I did what I could from home without having a band and not having newer technology such as Logic, just an old simple home studio. Clearly some people still do not listen to the government advice and simply ignore it, and so I thought delivering the message with some rock and roll could maybe help.”
Krissy returns shortly to his more noted production values when he releases a storming new rock song ‘Stone Age’ so look out for that over coming weeks too.
