Bonkers For Conkers – the annual conker competition – takes place at Langham Brewery on Sunday 9th October from 1pm – 6.30pm.

Expect an excellent bar with award-winning ales, live music and Morris dancing, as well as mini steam engine rides, fabulous stalls, delicious food, tombolas, face painting, cake decorating, as well as the family-led conker competition.

This much-loved, well-supported annual conker competition began life in 2007; this year marks the event’s 15th year. There will be 2 competitions to find the junior (8 to 15 years) and senior (16+) conker champions of 2022.
World championship rules apply… This is serious (& very fun) stuff!

Traditional, local fare will be provided by the family run Cocking Farm Shop – offering Oxford Sandy and Blacks hog roast, delectable vegetarian quiche and delicious, homemade seasonal apple cake. This promises to be hearty, wholesome traditional fare, working beautifully alongside the traditional game of Conkers!

The event at this beautiful ‘brewery in a barn’ on the Cowdray Estate is FREE to enjoy, but please give generously to the collection for Chestnut Tree House Hospice Care, Sussex.
