April with Melting Vinyl

Big I Am

April brings a strong and varied set of shows across Brighton with Melting Vinyl, taking place at The Prince Albert and The Greys.

On April 2nd at The Prince Albert, Emma Pollock is joined by Roman Joon. As a founding member of The Delgados, Emma helped shape one of Scotland’s most influential indie bands, with releases that include the Mercury-nominated The Great Eastern. Her solo work moves into a more intimate space, but still carries the same emotional clarity and melodic strength. Her voice moves between softness and power in a way that feels very immediate live, often balanced with some friendly banter between songs.

On April 20th at The Greys, True Foxes bring their Alt-Country/Americana sound, supported by special guests. The Cornwall-based cousin duo have built their reputation through constant touring and close vocal interplay, playing more than 700 shows since forming in 2019. Their debut album Howl introduced a style rooted in harmony-led storytelling, with acoustic arrangements and a clear sense of influence from artists like First Aid Kit and Brandi Carlile. Their live performances shift between reflective, quieter moments and more open, driving sections, shaped by their vocal blend and shared musical instinct.

On April 24th at The Prince Albert, MEMORIALS perform with Lello. Their work sits in a more experimental space, moving between psychedelic textures, analogue electronics, and freeform structures. Built through live looping, tape machines, and multi-instrumental switching, their sets feel fluid and unpredictable while still holding a clear identity. Their performances are less about fixed structure and more about building evolving soundscapes in real time.

Wherever you find yourself this April, there’s nothing quite like hearing live music in person, and we’re proud to help Melting Vinyl to promote their shows.
